Saturday was a beach day and then a dance party at Bonita Bill's so our dinner had to be something easy and fast since I knew we would be pretty hungry after an afternoon of dancing with all the senior citizens. This is where a crockpot becomes your best friend. I found a easy bbq recipe on All Recipes and let it cook all day. The house smelled great when we walked in, the bbq was all ready for us and all we needed to find were some buns. Here's the recipe - you may want to give it a try.
1.5 lb. lean beef
1.5 lb lean pork
2 c. chopped onions
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 - 6 oz can tomato paste
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1 t. salt
2 t. Worcestershire sauce
1. t. dry mustard
Cut meat into 1 to 2 inch cubes. Mix all other ingredients and add to meat. Add to crockpot and cook 9 to 11 hours on low or 5 to 6 hours on high.
So welcome to my new blog. Come join us in Florida, check out what's happening as we check out the food/restaurants. You can almost taste it. Margaret
